Business/company name, company registration number, and VAT number

Phone number and WhatsApp number
Password (stored securely as a one-way hash — we cannot see your password)
Subscription plan and billing information

Estimate Data

Photographs of jewellery items you submit for estimation
AI-generated analysis results (metal type, weight, stone details, pricing)
Ring size preferences, diamond preferences (lab/natural, colour, clarity)
Estimate history and timestamps

Technical Data

IP address and browser type (collected automatically via server logs)
Pages visited and usage patterns within 247Loupe

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

Providing our service — processing your jewellery images, generating trade estimates, and delivering results via web and WhatsApp
Account management — managing your subscription, authenticating your login, and tracking usage against your plan limits
Communication — sending estimate results, follow-up messages, account notifications, and password resets via email and WhatsApp
Service improvement — analysing usage patterns to improve our AI estimation accuracy and user experience
Marketing — sending product updates and offers, only if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time)

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data under the following legal bases as defined by UK GDPR:

Contract — processing necessary to provide the 247Loupe service you have signed up for
Consent — for marketing communications and WhatsApp messaging (which you can withdraw at any time)
Legitimate interest — for service improvement, security, and fraud prevention

5. WhatsApp Messaging

If you provide a WhatsApp number, we will use the WhatsApp Business API (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to:

Send a welcome message when you sign up
Receive jewellery photos and send trade estimates
Send follow-up messages about your estimates (23 hours after submission)
Communicate about design requests and orders

WhatsApp messages are processed through Meta's servers. Please refer to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy for details on how Meta handles message data.

6. AI + CAD Reference Image Processing

Jewellery and jewelry images you submit are analysed using a combination of Anthropic's Claude AI and our proprietary library of verified CAD production models. This dual approach cross-references AI detection against real manufacturing data to improve accuracy. Images are sent to Anthropic's servers for analysis and are subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We do not use your images for AI training purposes.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with the following third parties solely to provide our service:

Anthropic — for AI image analysis (jewellery photos only)
Meta (WhatsApp) — for WhatsApp messaging
Our hosting provider — data is stored on servers located in the United Kingdom
Payment processor — for subscription billing (when applicable)

We will never share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

8. Data Retention

Account data — retained for the duration of your account plus 12 months after closure
Estimate data and images — retained for 24 months from creation
WhatsApp message logs — retained for 12 months
Server logs — retained for 90 days

You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

Passwords stored using bcrypt one-way hashing
HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
